A total of 556 students from different postgraduate programmes including 7 fellow scholars received their diplomas from MDI Gurgaon
A total of 714 students receive their diplomas in the joint annual convocation of Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon and MDI Murshidabad on Saturday.
The convocation was attended by the Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal; Chairman, Rajnish Kumar, MDI board of governors, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon, Dr Sangeeta Shah Bhardwaj; Director, MDI Murshidabad among others
From the batch of the academic year 2021-2023, a total of 556 students from different postgraduate programmes including 7 fellow scholars received their diplomas from MDI Gurgaon. The institute also awarded 21 medals to meritorious students.
MDI Murshidabad conferred diplomas on 158 students from its PGDM programme and 5 medals.
As per the official statement, “MDI Gurgaon completed yet another year of wonderful placements.” The highest salary stood at Rs. 60 Lakhs. The median salary offered to the batch stood at Rs.26.13 lakhs per annum. A total of 102 companies participated in the recruitment drive, out of which 21 companies were first-time recruiters.
Firms in spaces such as conglomerates and manufacturing, technology, media and telecommunications, BFSI, consulting, FMCG/FMCD, automobiles, e-commerce, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, energy and logistics made a sizable number of offers.

“The Fellow Programme in Management of MDI Gurgaon has received equivalence to PhD from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recently. Research events are critical in promoting research, connecting it to practice, and increasing visibility in the academic community,” said Dr Sangeeta Shah Bhardwaj, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon.
“MDI Murshidabad concluded its phenomenally spectacular final placement for the batch of 2021-23 in record time with consistently been going towards an upward trajectory over the years in terms of its final and summer placements, and this year’s results have been particularly noteworthy,” the statement added.
The average and median pay has reached new heights of Rs 12.67 lakh per annum and Rs 11.40 lakh per annum, respectively, demonstrating a considerable increase.
“The highest bidder’s offer increased by 42.8 per cent to 20 Lakh Per Annum, which was closely followed by Rs.18.65 lakh per annum and Rs 18.02 lakh per annum. Students were placed in 56 companies, 32 of which were new recruiters.”, said Dr Atmanand, Director, MDI Murshidabad.
