The Ministry of Education unveiled the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings for 2023, showcasing the leading engineering colleges in India. Topping the list is IIT Madras, followed closely by IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay in the second and third positions respectively.
This marks the 8th edition of the prestigious rankings, with IIT Madras retaining its position as the best engineering college from the previous year.
IIT Kanpur secured the fourth rank, while IIT Roorkee claimed the fifth spot. IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati secured the sixth and seventh positions respectively. Notably, NIT Tiruchirappalli slipped from the eighth position last year to the ninth spot this year. Jadavpur University also made it to the coveted list, rounding up the top ten engineering institutes in India.
The National Institute of Technology (NITs) was acknowledged as another group of excellent engineering colleges in the country, known for their high educational standards. The NIRF Rankings are determined based on a range of parameters, and this year’s edition included two additional subjects: Agriculture and Allied Sectors.
