Amity University Inks MoU With Sekisho Corporation Japan

  • The Japan desk at Amity University will serve as a point of contact for students seeking employment with Japanese companies

Amity University, Noida signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sekisho Corporation Japan. The MoU was signed to establish the Japan Desk at Amity University, Noida Campus for students to get placements in Japanese companies. Sekisho Corporation, Japan, founded in 1908, began with the sales of petroleum products and the company is recruiting young talent who can work towards the growth of the company. The Japanese delegation was led by the Mr Mesaki Seki, President, Sekisho Corporation.

Under the MoU, Amity will cooperate with Sekisho Corporation for the smooth functioning of the Japan Desk online. The Japan Desk will serve as a point of contact for Amity Students who want to find employment in Japanese companies. It will also serve as a point of contact for the Japanese companies that wish to hire Amity Students. It will help in facilitating the exchange programs with universities in Japan and promote Japanese language courses.

“The MoU signing ceremony is extremely significant and is of a large magnitude, marking the beginning of fostering close ties with India. The partnership has been initiated in an online mode, we are looking forward to physically working with Amity students and building a fruitful association. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity and excited to work together for a brighter future for both countries,” Seki stated.

Dr Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, stated, “In Indian culture, guests are treated like Gods and therefore the presence of the esteemed dignitaries from Japan is extremely significant for us. Amity has a passion for nurturing young talent, and this relationship will be highly successful since both organizations believe in giving back to society. This is a visionary initiative by Sekisho Corporation and Amity which will lead to empowering both the organizations. Employability is the most important aspect at Amity and Amity leaves no stone unturned to ensure that the students are placed at the best organizations in India and abroad.”

“More than 250 Amity students have been placed at top Japanese Companies including Sekisho Group, Grape City, NEC, Yamaha and Fujistu, Honda, and Hitachi. Amity University offers training and consultancy to leading Japanese companies including Maruti Suzuki where Amity is training Graduates Engineering Trainees. More than 1000 students at Amity are learning the Japanese language,” said Dr Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities.
