DU to take Spot Admissions for UG and BTech Programmes

  • Tomorrow, the university will release information regarding available openings in the spot round for undergraduate and BTech admissions

The University of Delhi (DU) has unveiled the upcoming spot admission round for undergraduate (UG) and BTech programs scheduled for the 2023 academic session. On September 7.

The university will release information regarding available seats for the second round of spot admissions for UG programs and the first round for BTech admissions.

Prospective students who had applied but were not granted admission to any DU college or faculty by 5 p.m. on the day of the vacant seat announcement will be eligible to participate in the spot admission round for DU’s UG and BTech programs.

However, candidates who were previously offered a seat in the DU UG spot admission round but did not complete the admission process will not be able to participate in subsequent spot rounds. The university may announce additional spot admission rounds in the future, depending on available seats and other admission criteria. DU advises candidates to regularly check the university’s admission website.

According to DU’s official statement regarding the spot admission round, admitted candidates will not have the option to withdraw their admissions. To be considered for the spot admission round, candidates must select the ‘Spot Round’ option through their dashboards. Candidates can choose any or all programmes based on seat availability.

DU has made it mandatory for candidates to accept the seat allocated during the spot admission round for entry into UG and BTech programs. There will be no options for ‘Upgrade’ or ‘Withdraw’ during the DU UG and BTech spot admission rounds. The seat assigned during the spot admission round will be final, as stated by the university.

Candidates can apply for the spot admission round from September 7 to September 9. The university will announce seat allocations on September 11, and candidates can accept the seats from September 11 (11 am) to September 13 (4:59 pm).
