The French Government announced to hold education fairs in four major Indian cities under its initiative ‘Choose France Tour 2023’. The series of fairs will be organised by L’Institut Français en Inde (French Institute in India), in collaboration with Campus France between the 8th and 15th of October 2023 in Chennai, Kolkata, New Delhi and Mumbai.
The initiative aims to provide high school graduates with various opportunities to pursue higher studies along with scholarships in top colleges in France. These programmes cover a variety of disciplines, including management, engineering, hospitality, humanities, the arts, architecture and design. Students can get first-hand information about the program they are interested in, from the representatives of 48 leading universities and colleges.
The Choose France Tour 2023 will also open doors for Indian and French educators and academicians to explore potential collaboration.
French President Macron has announced that 30,000 Indian students will be invited to France by 2030. Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India said “Choose France Tour 2023 will bring together the amazing academic talent of Indian students and France’s world-class institutes of learning”. Emphasizing France’s measures to boost student mobility from India, Lanain said “France and India have an agreement for the Mutual Recognition of Academic Qualifications, which eases admissions in each other’s institutions. In addition to boosting student exchanges, the fairs will help Indian students explore practical ways to seek job opportunities in France after graduating there.”
