INSEAD, The Business School for the World, launched the INSEAD XR Portal. This cutting-edge platform features the world’s most complete collection of virtual reality (VR) learning experiences and provides a comprehensive solution for bringing these immersive experiences to schools throughout the world.
The INSEAD XR Portal represents a significant advancement in educational technology, providing a scalable, cost-effective and user-friendly XR-based solution to enhance the impact of learning. It makes learning more engaging and memorable, offering access to 20 VR experiences that cover a broad spectrum of management topics.
Over 40 faculty members at INSEAD are actively involved in utilising INSEAD XR in their teaching and research or contributing to the development of VR experiences. Additionally, INSEAD XR has partnered with three academic institutions, paving the way for the integration of VR experiences into their teaching methods, with plans for more institutions to join in the future.
Professor Francisco Veloso, Dean, INSEAD, expressed his pride in INSEAD’s commitment to innovation in management education, stating that INSEAD XR is pioneering a new path to innovation and growth. He emphasised that this initiative is not only making management education more impactful at INSEAD but also around the globe.
INSEAD XR was developed in collaboration with academic and corporate partners, led by Professor Ithai Stern, a renowned figure in strategy at INSEAD and the Academic Director of the VR Immersive Learning Initiative. Professor Stern’s dedication to teaching innovation earned him the prestigious 2023 Strategic Management Society (SMS) Educational Impact Award, recognising his exceptional contributions to the quality and innovation of strategic management education. He was celebrated as a “champion for VR immersive learning” for his role in building a global consortium of business school professors dedicated to creating and integrating VR content into management education.
