Though the Date Sheets for Classes 10 and 12 UP Board Exams are yet to be released, the district education departments of Noida and Ghaziabad have begun preparations to hold the same.
Over 50,000 students have registered to take the Class 10 board exams this year from both Noida and Ghaziabad, while nearly 44,000 students will appear in the Class 12 final exams from both the districts. It’s an increase of over 8,000 students for both the classes in the two neighbouring districts from last year’s figures.
“A total of 41,944 students, including 22,433 of Class 10 and 19,511 of Class 12, from some 150 schools are eligible to take the UP board exams across 57 centres in Noida this year,” Dharamveer Singh, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), told TOI.
Similarly, a total 52,934 eligible students, including 28,459 of Class 10 and 24,475 of Class 12, from some 200 schools are eligible to appear for the UP board exams this year across 66 centres, Rajesh Kumar Srivas, DIOS Ghaziabad, said.
As soon as the date sheet is announced, which is expected this week, officials will begin allotting centres as well as announcing safety measures for the exams which will be held under CCTV surveillance.
