The commencement of the Karnataka NEET UG/CET 2023 Counselling is set for today. The admission process for the first round of Engineering, Medical and Dental courses counseling will be initiated by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
Students who have been assigned seats in the first round can now head to their designated colleges and make the necessary fee payments, beginning today.
S Ramya, the Executive Director of KEA, has conveyed that candidates are required to finalise their preferred choices after 1 pm on Friday. This selection window will remain open until 11.59 pm on August 20. During this period, candidates must make their fee payments online based on their selections, which can be done from August 19 to August 22, as detailed in the official press release.
It is important to note that only those who have opted for “Choice 1” need to proceed with fee payment and secure their admission letter. The deadline for individuals who have chosen “Choice 1” to secure admission to colleges by submitting valid documents is August 23, according to the official statement. The initial seat allotment list was officially published on August 16.
For the subsequent rounds of seat allotment in medical and dental courses, candidates will not have the opportunity to modify their choices. Following the first round of seat allocation, there are a total of 917 medical seats still available. Out of this overall count, 706 seats are reserved for the NRI quota, while 206 seats are designated for specially-abled candidates.
